“Curated styling plays a very important part in our creation and how elegant moods and moments are photographed.”

We suggest 2 sets of outfits for our classic 2-hour family shoots - with one that is more elegant and romantic and the other with a lifestyle touch.
For our 1-hour adult family shoots, you may opt for either the more formal wear look or the more lifestyle look.

In general, we highly recommend all neutral tones such as white, ivory, cream, warm beige, or soft muted tones like nude, dusty pink or taupe would work :) To add variations, soft coloured prints such as florals would work too, especially on soft or sheer fabrics.

At Kindred Studio, we have a capsule wardrobe containing a choice of 2 outfits for the mother and a range of outfits for children between 0-4 year old (set out below).

You are also welcome to prepare your own outfits for the shoot too. Many of our clients do work with us to source their own outfits for part/all of their family shoot.

For Toddlers or Babies
We suggest keeping outfits for babies/toddlers simple.
Sometimes, a cute romper or just going topless with a little linen bloomer over the diapers would work really well. And if you don’t mind, going nude would show off their baby fat too (a stage that flies by so fast)!

For Mamas
Stay with simple yet elegant styles such as off shoulder dresses, slip dresses or flowy summer dresses.

The two outfits in our capsule wardrobe for the mother fit both pregnant and non pregnant mamas beautifully!!

For Papas
Again, for the papa, we would suggest lighter colours such as white shirts/tees, light grey cardigans, beige long pants (or even light colour jeans although beige pants are preferred).
